21st Conference of Parties (COP21) in France, Paris
Great scene Absolutely in Smart Direction and also very-Affective Role at the Global Level....Ms Mukta Akter, Youth Focal Point of GWP SAS and Executive Secretary of Bangladesh Water Partnership attended the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) (COP21) held in Paris, France in December 2015.
The conference was held with the objective of arriving at a legal binding and a universal agreement on climate change, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C and agreeing on financing to help the developing countries to cope with climate change.
More than 40,000 participants including nearly 25,000 official delegates from governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations, United Nations and civil society from 195 countries attended the conference. The youth groups and young professionals attended and actively engaged in the discussions with policy makers, high level Government Officials, stakeholders and civil society while the conference provided a platform for the youth to exchange knowledge, information, ideas and experiences among each other.
